2006 Lent Study
'If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat'
In Lent we will explore the challenge of walking by faith in God's presence
and going forward in God's direction.
To help us in this voyage of discovery we will use John Ortberg's book
with the intriguing title 'If you want to walk
on water, you've got to get out of the boat'.
Our Lent Learning involves the need to step out of our comfort zone, as
we set out on the risky waters of faith. There Jesus is waiting to meet
us in ways that will change us deeply.
Look out for the book, as we follow its themes in our Lent sermons and
in our small groups. Each small group will be equipped with teaching aids
and personal learning guides.
The course runs for 6 weeks between Ash Wednesday (1st March) and Maundy Thursday (13th April) and there are daytime and evening groups meeting on different days of the week.
