| December 2008 | Our special Christmas collections at the Carol Service and Midnight Service raised £311, to be split 50/50 between the Church Urban Fund and the Biblelands Society. |
| Sunday 14th December - Christingle Service. 6.00 pm at St Nicholas. Light a Christingle candle and help the Childen's Society. | |
| Monday 15th December - Celebrate Christmas with Havant Light Opera. 7.30 pm at St Thomas'. Come along and sing carols and seasonal music. Retiring collection for parish funds and Headway (the brain injury association). Refreshments. | |
November 2008 |
The Christmas Fair held on 22nd November raised £1,400 for Church funds. Well done Steph and everyone else who helped. |
| 79 Shoe Boxes full of toys and gifts have been sent off to Operation Christmas Child. Thanks to Kim, Sally, Hannah and Cathy for organising this year's collection. | |
| Sunday 2nd November - Thanksgiving Sunday. The time of year when we review our giving so that the ongoing work of the Church can be positively supported. Please return Response Forms to the Parish Office as soon as possible. | |

Wednesday 8th October - Over 50 people enjoyed our Parish Afternoon Tea at St Nicholas. |
| Friday 10th October - The Africapella & Friends concert in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association raised over £1,000. | |
| Sunday 12th October - Celebration of our Rector John Risdon's 40th Anniversary of Ordination. Special service at 10.30 am at St Nicholas followed by a buffet lunch... and a surprise 'This is your life' presentation for John! | |
| Friday 17th - Sunday 19th October. Church Weekend Away at Park Place, Wickham. | |
| Saturday 25th October - Mothers' Union & Traidcraft Coffee Morning. 10.00-12.30 at St Nicholas Church Centre. | |
| Sunday 26th October - U2Charist. A Communion service using the music of the band U2 to help us to see how we can achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals (such as eradicating world poverty). 7.30 pm at St Francis Church, Riders Lane, Leigh Park. | |
| Friday 31st October - Fireworks Party in the Rectory Garden (St Nicholas Church Centre car park if wet) starting at 6.30 pm. Please pre-book with the Parish Office. | |

| Saturday 27th September - Harvest Quiz and Ploughman's Supper. 7.00 pm at St Nicholas. Make up a team or come along by yourself and we'll put you in one. Tickets £5 (children £2) from the Parish Office | |
| Sunday 28th September - Harvest Festival. 10.30 at St Nicholas. This year we are collecting toiletries, tins and packets of food for Havant Women's Refuge. Cash collections will go to Send a Cow - more details in the Parish Magazine. | |
| August 2008 | Wednesday 6th August - The Manor Trust Garden Party. 2.00 pm at The Manor, Edward Gardens. To be opened by the Mayor of Havant. Traditonal stalls, activities for young children, home-made cream teas and cakes served on the lawn. |
| Friday 22nd August - 'Hemispheres' Guitar Concert. 7.30 pm at St Thomas. Guitar music from all over the world featuring New Zealander Bruce Paine and Derek Hasted from Bedhampton - possibly the world's most distant classical guitar duo! | Thursday 22nd May - Stewards and Vergers' Social/Training Evening for fire evacuation procedures. | |
| Saturday 17th May - Parish Barn Dance. 7.00-9.30 at St Nicholas. The money raised will go towards the St Nicholas kitchen dishwasher fund and St Thomas' Church redecoration. | |

| April 2008 | Sunday 20th April - Annual Parochial Church Meeting. 11.15-12.15 at St Nicholas. Worship at 10.00 am followed by refreshments before the meeting. There will be creche and Junior Church activities during the service and meeting. |
