The Bedhampton Summer Show - July 1st 2006

Hot or what?

The weather just couldn't have been better - the hottest day of the year so far, with clear blue skies and a temperature reaching 30 degrees.

Held on the same day as England's World Cup match, which began at 4pm, the Show had an exciting pace and energy to it as everything was brought forward in case everyone left at 4pm. Many did, and left behind some glorious weather to sit indoors in the stifling heat and watch England slide ignominously to defeat. Those who stayed enjoyed a chance to browse the many sideshows at a gentle pace not possible earlier in the afternoon!

A right Royal occasion

The theme was Kings and Queens, and in addition to the many sideshows, there were some special items...
