Bedhampton Parish - Photo Album

This is a Mass Clock. There were originally three on the South Wall, but this is the only one still clear to the eye

Built by amateurs, they weren't particularly accurate, and the gnomon was a simple peg placed in the hole in the photo
But they served their purpose by marking out 9am for Mass and 2pm or 3pm for Vespers
