Our Magazine Committee is reviewing the Parish Magazine with a view
to making improvements, and they welcome your views.
There are
questionnaires in the May magazine, but if you prefer you

Additions to the website and recent news
May
- A free day out for the whole family on Sunday 20th May. Come along
to Bidbury Mead between 11am and 3pm where there will be lots of games
and activities for all ages, a lunchtime barbecue and afternoon tea before
we finish at around 3pm.
- A Passion Play for Havant? That’s what Churches Together in Havant & Bedhampton
are planning to perform around the Civic Centre at Easter 2014. To pray
and explore what action is needed, come along to a meeting on Thursday
24 May 7.30pm at Havant Methodist Ch, Petersfield Rd or contact Rev Bill

- Marion Machell has retired after 11 years as our very efficient Hall
Booking Secretary. In the immediate future the bookings for halls at
St Nicholas’ Church will be handled by the Parish Office.
- This month our prayer letter visitors will call on homes in Bedhampton
Road on Thursday 24th.
- Thursday 3 May - Men's Steak Night. For a change we are forgoing the
curry and are gathering at the Golden Lion, Bedhampton for their very
popular Steak Night. We will meet at the Pub for 7.30 p.m. Please pre-book
through the Parish Office by Monday 30th April and let
us know your choice of steak - Fillet, T-bone or Rump.

- Starting on May 14th there will be a monthly evening meeting about
how the Bible fits into modern society - more details soon!
- On Sunday 15th April, international speaker and author Andy Economides
will be preaching at all our morning services. Andy is the founder and
director of Soteria Trust which runs humanitarian projects in Africa,
helping the poor and vulnerable to help themselves.
- Hampshire Library Service is aware that many people are unable to get
to their local Library due to frailty, mobility problems or caring
responsibilities . The Home Library Service can help .This service
is free. Please talk to staff at your nearest
library, call 0845 6035631 or apply using the online form at

On Sunday 29th April, the St Nicholas 9.30am Morning Praise is followed by
coffee and our Church Annual Meeting which starts at 11.00am
- Prayer Letter Visiting...
The summer season starts on Thursday 26th April when we will be calling on
homes in Knox Road, Palk Road, Ranelagh Road and West Street to talk to
residents and collect their prayer requests. We meet at St Nicholas at
6.30 and finish about 8pm. If you’d like more information, contact
the Parish Office.
