Additions to the website and recent
news
March
- If someone knocked on your door and gave you £10, you'd rightly be suspicious.
But if they assured you that it was a gift, it was legal, honest and
it was yours, perhaps you'd feel that it was your lucky day. Well, today,
our Church received £36.30 it wasn't expecting. It's come from EasyFundRaising.
- If you have signed up, well, Thank You - this is down to you!
- If you meant to get around to it,well, perhaps this will convince
you that it really IS worth signing up
- And if you don't know what EasyFundRaising is, then please, take 10
minutes reading what our
website has to say about it....
February
- Our Events Page mentions our "Try
Thai" evening on March 20th (are you coming?), but now there's more news
- Andy Economides will be speaking. Amongst other things, he's founder
of the Soteria
Trust,
and you can read more about the Trust, and Andy himself, on their website.
And you can find how to book for this very special evening on our Events
Page.
- We have received an email from the Diocese...
We’re delighted to announce that the new Bishop of Portsmouth will
be the Rt Rev Christopher Foster. He's the current Bishop of Hertford
in the St Albans diocese. Find out more about him here
- Details of our regular
Friday "Coffee & Cakes" mornings are on the Events
page but there's a special one coming up at St Nicholas...
It's on Friday 26th February
from 10-11.30am. We're supporting Fairtrade
Fortnight and we will have
Traidcraft food & gifts to buy.
If you've never been to "Coffee & Cakes" why not make February
26th the first
one you come and try!
- We've added a short "Interregnum
Page" to explain where we are in our
search for a new Rector - it contains a link to our Parish
Profile
January
- Our interregnum enters an exciting phase today - our "Job advert" for
our new Rector has been published by the Diocese. It might even be that
as you are reading this news item, the person who will become our new
Rector is reading our Parish Profile, which is our "Job Description".
Exciting times!
- Parish Party with Pancakes - Saturday 13th February from 6.00-8.30pm
at St Nicholas - see our Events Page.
- Tickets are now on sale for the South Downs College Music Students'
Concert at St Thomas' on Thursday 11th February. Details on our events
page.
- Songs of Praise comes to St Thomas' on Sunday 31st January at 10.30am.
Not the TV version, but a chance to sing your favourite hymn. Send
your request (please
give the reason for your choice) to the Parish
Office by Monday 25th January.
- We are supporting Havant Women's Aid by putting collection boxes in
both churches for good quality women and children's clothes, toiletries,
household and food items.
