Booking your Wedding at St Thomas' Church
St Thomas' Church is booked far in advance.
We are currently taking bookings for this year and next year. Each January we extend the booking forward to cover the next 2 years.
Church of England rules mean that you must have a qualifying connection
with the parish to marry in
St Thomas' Church. The main qualification is
that one of you must be a resident of the Parish of Bedhampton, or must
be on our Church's
Electoral
Roll.
From 1st October 2008, there are additional ways in which a person may have a qualifying connection with the parish and marry in the church:
- Was baptised in the parish church
- Was confirmed in the parish church
- Has lived in the parish for at least six months
- Has attended public worship in the parish church for at least six months
Or if a parent of the person
- Has lived in the parish for at least six months
- Has attended public worship in the parish church for at least six months
Or if a parent or grandparent of the person
- Was married in the parish church.
